Frequently Asked Questions

Do you take health insurance?

As part of my practice, I do not directly accept or bill health insurance; however, I am more than happy to provide you with a detailed invoice for services rendered, which you may submit to your insurance provider for reimbursement. Please be aware that assessments and evaluations often require prior authorization, so I encourage you to check with your insurer beforehand to confirm whether pre-authorization is needed.

What is the fee for therapy sessions?

The initial 60-minute intake is priced at $200, with each subsequent 50-minute session offered at $180.
For couples therapy, the initial 60 minute intake is $250, with each 50 minute follow-up session priced at $200.

What is the price for an evaluation?

The cost of a psychological evaluation is determined by several factors, including the nature of the referral, the type of evaluation required, and the duration of the assessment. Typically, the investment for a comprehensive evaluation ranges from $1,500 to $3,000, reflecting the tailored, meticulous approach and expertise involved in providing a deeply insightful and personalized service.

Why are evaluations so expensive?

Psychological evaluations are a meticulous and labor-intensive process, demanding a high level of expertise and attention to detail. The fees I charge reflect the considerable time and dedication required to conduct in-depth assessments, analyze and interpret the results with precision, engage in thoughtful communication with relevant parties, craft a comprehensive report, and provide tailored feedback. On average, this thorough process requires between 12 to 20 hours of specialized work, ensuring that each evaluation is not only accurate but also insightful.

As a distinguished provider registered with PsyPact, I am able to extend my services to clients across participating states, ensuring that individuals everywhere receive the same level of care and expertise.

Where is your practice located?

My practice is based in Gainesville, Florida; however, I am pleased to offer remote services to individuals located outside of Florida, providing the same level of personalized, expert care regardless of your location.
